Welcome to Kilroy 339 FIRST Robotics Team page

Team Kilroy 339 allows high school students the opportunity to design and build the robot, program the robot, and/or work on 3D modeling and animation (and earn awards for it, too!).

The FIRST Robotics Competition is an engineering competition in which high school students team up with professionals from businesses and universities for six intense weeks to brainstorm, design, construct and test their robot. The teams compete in a spirited no-holds-barred tournament complete with referees and time clocks. The competition is unique each year, which allows returning teams to always have a new challenge.

Our team is organized through the Commonwealth Governor’s School. High school students in Stafford, Spotsylvania, and King George Counties are all eligible.

We compete as Team 339 of the FIRST Robotics Competition from January through April, host the Stafford Regional for the Virginina/DC FIRST LEGO League at Stafford’s Gayle Middle School in November, and sponsor FIRST Tech Challenge teams at Colonial Forge, Brook Point, and North Stafford high schools.

FIRST is a non-denominational, non-partisan public charity that welcomes all cultures and religions to participate in our programs and activities. We are guided by sensitivity and respect for others, embracing a common goal of inspiring, engaging, and encouraging youth of all backgrounds to be part of the FIRSTcommunity and embrace the wonders of science and technology.
